Oak at Katy Park to get nearby HEB grocer

New Katy Apartments Will Border New H-E-B

If you’re building a new apartment complex in Texas, having a grocery store within walking distance is a good thing. It’s even better if it’s an H-E-B grocery store. Construction is underway on The Oak at Katy Park, a 348-unit apartment complex in a new H-E-B-anchored shopping center in Katy. The rental community is scheduled to be completed in mid-2025. The 120,000-square-foot H-E-B anchor is slated to open in the spring.

The Houston Business Journal reports Wayfinder Real Estate is developing the three-story, garden-style complex at 24720 Morton Ranch Road on the northeast corner of the retail center. It will include one- to three-bedroom apartments ranging from 682 to 1,467 square feet. Rent will likely be between $1,600 and $2,600 a month. Residents will have a resort-style pool, pickleball court, co-working space, a sauna, outdoor kitchens and grilling areas, and a fitness center. A 100-acre sports park is across the street.

OHT Construction is the general contractor and Meeks Architects designed the apartment community.
