$1B Collin Creek project kicks off after new year

Plano’s New $1B Collin Creek Mixed-Use Project Gets Going in New Year

Plano’s Collin Creek Mall opened with fanfare in 1981 and unceremoniously closed in 2019. Centurion American had a plan for the property, a $1 billion plan, and started demolition in 2021.

The mixed-use redevelopment will begin construction next month with 500 single-family homes.

When finished, the 100-acre project near US 75 will have 2,300 apartments, a hotel, offices, and a 2,000 space, $67 million underground garage. The development will also include eight acres of parkland and 1.6 miles of trails throughout.
