$750M Friendswood mixed-use project starts site work in January 2024

Ambitious Friendswood Mixed-Use Project Sets January Kickoff

Tannos is partnering with Wolfgramm Capital on a $750 million project in the Houston suburb of Friendswood (pop. 41,000). Site work and infrastructure improvements are expected to begin soon after the first of the year. The 100-acre project will roughly consist of 50 acres of open space and 50 acres of commercial development.

The mixed-use project, dubbed Friendswood City Center, is expected to include 150,000 square feet of retail space, 200,000 square feet medical and office space, a 500-unit apartment complex and a nationally branded boutique hotel with 150 rooms, a restaurant and a 5,000-square-foot convention center.

Tannos will build the infrastructure, including nearby road improvements and the majority of shell buildings. The Houston Business Journal reports that Tannos claims all 12 parcels of the commercial development are already spoken for.

Developers estimate they will be able to start vertical construction in late 2024 and complete the project within three years.
