Regenerative Chicken Sandwich Chain Opens Seattle Restaurant

Following the successful rollout of its food truck, sustainable chicken sandwich chain Mt. Joy is opening its first brick-and-mortar location in Seattle. Located at 1530 11th Avenue in the bustling Capitol Hill area, the restaurant will serve fried chicken sandwiches, nd chicken tenders, French fries and milkshakes.

A new culinary concept spearheaded by Mt. Joy’s CEO Robbie Cape, former CEO and co-founder of health tech startup 98point6, along with Ethan Stowell, one of Seattle’s most successful restauranteurs. The company aims to fight climate change by economically supporting sustainable agriculture and sources its meat from regenerative farming practices.

Mt. Joy only uses pasture-raised chicken in its sandwiches, meaning the chickens have even more room to roam than standard “free-range” birds. The startup also claims that 90 percent of its ingredients come from just four states.
