Kidder Mathews Hires Retail Investment Sales Duo from CBRE

Kirk Brummer and Eric Shain have joined Kidder Mathews’ office in Orange County. The team specializes in the disposition, acquisition, valuation and repositioning of retail properties including anchored shopping centers, strip centers and single-tenant net lease properties throughout the western U.S.

Brummer (pictured) joins the firm as an SVP, with Shain joining as VP. Prior to joining Kidder Mathews, Brummer and Shain were with CBRE in Newport Beach.

With more than 25 years of retail investment sales experience, Brummer and his team have completed nearly 800 transactions over the course of his career, exceeding $13.1 billion in value and 62.7 million square feet.

At CBRE, Brummer was a founding member of the firm’s National Retail Partners – West group, which consistently ranked as one of the top retail investment teams nationally. Shain joined the team in 2017, where he helped close over $650 million in retail property sales.

They have represented high-net-worth private investors, developers, family offices, and institutional clients including AEW, BlackRock, Blackstone, Crow Holdings, Federal Realty, Kimco Realty, Regency Centers, Phillips Edison, Prudential, and many others.
