Samuels to Build 850-Unit Complex in Lynn

Samuels & Associates, a Boston-based developer, has proposed a $450 million project to construct an 850-unit residential complex along the Lynn waterfront.

The project, slated for the South Harbor site near a former General Electric Co. facility, spans 1.1 million square feet and features three buildings. It aims to include an eight-acre public park, retail spaces, and restaurants, showcasing a dynamic mixed-use development.

With site plan approval from the city of Lynn, the project awaits City Council’s decision on granting Samuels a 20-year tax break valued at $45 million. The proposal is yet to undergo state permitting, projecting a phased construction spanning about a decade. 10% of the residential units are earmarked for residents within 60% of the area median income.
