HGI Announces $128M Redevelopment Plan for 51W52

Harbor Group International(HGI), has announced a $128 million repositioning of the 900,000-square-foot skyscraper at 51W52. Upgrades include renovating the 52nd Street lobby, reimagining the 53rd Street lobby, and introducing an amenity suite with a lounge, fitness center, conference and event space, and a private cafe.

Originally designed by world-renowned architect Eero Saarinen as the headquarters for CBS, 51W52’s renovations will enhance the qualities already present in the original design, making subtle changes while still preserving the landmark. Slated for completion in December,

Since HGI’s 2021 acquisition, 41% of the space has been leased or renewed, including HGI relocating its NYC headquarters, occupying 25,000 square feet. CBRE leads the leasing efforts for the property with a team led by Howard Fiddle, Scott Gottlieb, Andrew Sussman and Evan Haskell.
