Pure Pickleball to open 44 courts in Scottsdale

44-Court Pickleball Center Slated for Scottsdale

Pickleball enthusiasts say getting a court is never easy. The future owners of a proposed venue plan on doing something about it. Pure Pickleball plans to build 28 indoor courts at the Riverwalk Development alongside Loop 101 near The Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale. The first Pure Pickleball is planned to open the first phase by the end of 2024.

The first phase will be a 108,000-square-foot building with 28 oversized indoor pickleball courts, which carry dimensions of 34-by-64 feet, along with one championship court that will be 50-by-70 feet with 500 stadium seats. Plans call for adding 16 outdoor courts later.

A pro shop, café, men’s and women’s locker rooms and private event spaces are also planned under the roof. It also will be the future headquarters and training center for USA Pickleball, the governing body of the sport currently based in Surprise.

Pure Pickleball will join an emerging retail and entertainment development by real estate investment and development firm CaliberCos. Inc.
