Baker Hughes moves 1,300 workers into new Houston HQ

Baker Hughes Moves Into Highly-Amenitized HQ

Oil field service giant Baker Hughes is moving its 1,300 employees into its new headquarters in the Energy Corridor. The company is taking up 130,000 square feet on five floors of the Energy Center II building at 575 N. Dairy Ashford Road on Oct. 23. They’re moving from their previous digs at 17021 Aldine Westfield as well as from its Westway Park Boulevard and Equity Drive offices.

Nowadays tenants look for more than working elevators and clean bathrooms.

Baker Hughes highlighted several amenities its new offices offer, including hybrid experience rooms with advanced camera and technology capabilities that enhance online meetings; more than two dozen open collaboration spaces for team huddles, working sessions and brainstorming; more than 40 meeting rooms, including multiple hybrid experience meeting rooms and a creative thinking room; and more than a dozen community spaces for brief individual work or one-to-one conversations.

Other employee amenities include nursing mother’s suites, prayer and meditation rooms, tech- and food-free quiet zones to recharge, eight EV parking stations, and bicycle parking. The building also has furniture made from recycled materials and an LED light control system.
