South Bronx Mixed-Use Development Opens

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the opening of the housing and public space components of the Bronx Point mixed-use development in the South Bronx.

The $349 million project, co-developed by L+M Development Partners and Type A Projects, includes 542 new housing units, a 2.8-acre waterfront public park and esplanade, and future home to The Hip Hop Museum. Bronx Point will also feature an early childhood space run by BronxWorks, a nonprofit organization. The project aims to revitalize public space and create commercial opportunities while providing much-needed housing and community services.

“Bronx Point is the complete transformation of a long-vacant city-owned property into a mixed-use development that creates new space for important community institutions, an amazing new public waterfront park and, most importantly, new homes for hundreds of families who need them,” said Lisa Gomez, CEO and partner of L+M Development Partners.
