Alexandria tech campus opens in the Woodlands

New Woodlands Life Science Park Sees First Occupants

Nurix Therapeutics has moved into the nearly-new Alexandria Center for Advanced Technologies…the Woodlands’ rebuilt 12-acre life science campus. Nurix is taking over 46,000 square feet of the highly anticipated campus. The building has been redeveloped to better appeal to science and tech companies. The company expects to hire between 75 and 100 science and executive jobs in The Woodlands. It’s the first phase of a $200 million project.

The Houston Business Journal reports Alexandria Real Estate Equities demolished two of the previous four buildings and gutted the other two down to the studs and concrete before rebuilding them in a new design. It also built a four-story parking garage on the southwest side of the property and a park-like area in the center of the campus with sitting areas, pickleball courts and fire pits. The property also includes collaborative space, a gym, a conference center and a food service area.

The campus will offer 325,000 square feet of building space at full build-out.
