Solar-Powered Multifamily Replaces ‘40s-Era Housing in Linda Vista

Construction on Citrino, a 47-unit, solar-powered multifamily community at 6916 Fulton St. in San Diego’s Linda Vista neighborhood, is nearly complete. Owned by 6916 Fulton St. LLC, the project is now under management by San Diego-based Sunrise Management, with pre-leasing underway.

Theresa Cordero, president of Sunrise Management, which has specialized in the management of multifamily properties since 1978, said Citrino replaces 1940s-era housing and continues the ongoing renaissance of Linda Vista, largely constructed to house aircraft workers for the war effort in the Second World War.

“The community’s name is derived from citrine, a bright yellow mineral related to vitality, freshness and new beginnings,” said Cordero. “Capturing the essence of the significant transition that’s happening throughout Linda Vista, the construction of Citrino marks a fresh start, helping to further revive the surrounding neighborhood.”
