BPR to build $25M Charlotte Residence Inn

BPR Planning Charlotte Hotel Project

BPR is awaiting approval from the Charlotte City Council to build a $25 million, 139-room Residence Inn. The four-story, extended-stay project, will sit on 2.7 acres at 7708 University City Blvd. BPR expects the vote to come before the end of the year. Design and permitting will take about 12 months, pushing construction to 2025.

The Charlotte Business Journal reports BPR’s portfolio includes roughly 30 properties in the Carolinas, Georgia and Florida. That includes over a dozen properties in the development pipeline.

BPR owns four hotels in Greensboro, a Residence Inn by Marriott in Winston-Salem and a Hampton Inn by Hilton in Kernersville.
