New Bronx Exhibit on City’s Subway System

Simone Development Companies is proud to present “First Stop Last Stop: The Bronx,” an exhibition by photographer Rita Nannini at The Gallery of ARTFul Medicine, located in the Hutchinson Metro Center’s Tower One in the Bronx. Open to the public from October 9, 2023, to January 5, 2024, on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., this exhibit explores New York City’s subway system through Nannini’s lens.

Nannini’s project, initiated in 2013, captures the first and final stops of every subway line, with a special focus on the Bronx’s seven subway lines. It highlights the borough’s diverse communities and their connection to public transit. The exhibition uncovers facts, such as the 13-mile beach in Pelham Bay Park, an NFL-sized football field near the Norwood station, and notable figures resting in Woodlawn Cemetery.
