Torchy’s Tacos and Kura Sushi Coming to Maryland

Federal Plaza in Rockville, Maryland, is set to welcome two new dining options: Torchy’s Tacos and Kura Sushi. The former Ruby Tuesday location will house both restaurants.

Torchy’s Tacos will occupy 3,961 square feet at 12266 Rockville Pike, opening in early 2024. This will be the restaurant chain’s first location in Maryland. Kura Sushi, known for its revolving sushi bar, will take up 3,325 square feet at the same address, with plans to open next summer. This will mark Kura Sushi’s debut in Maryland.

Federal Plaza is home to tenants including TJ Maxx, Ross, Micro Center, Trader Joe’s, DMV Iron Gym, and the upcoming Mimi’s Handmade Ice Cream. Federal represented itself in-house on both leases. Ryan Wilner of KLNB represented Torchy’s Tacos, while Rene F. Daniel of Trout Daniel & Associates represented Kura Sushi.
