Manhattan Office Visitation Rates Surge Highest Since ‘20

Manhattan office building has revealed a significant uptick in building visitation rates across all building classes in Q2 2023, marking the highest levels seen since 2020, according to REBNY’s Manhattan Office Building Visitation Report

Building visitation rates in Q2 2023 reached 64% of the Q2 2019 levels, demonstrating a notable increase of 6 percentage points from Q2 2022 and 5 percentage points from Q1 2023. In almost two-thirds of the analyzed properties, visitation rates surpassed the 50% mark of the pre-pandemic baseline.  

Visitation rates saw considerable improvements in specific Manhattan neighborhoods, with Midtown South experiencing a 9 percentage point increase, Midtown an 8 percentage point increase, and Downtown rising by 1 percentage point from Q2 2022.
