Brooks Location for Another Multifamily Community

Since the US Air Force base closed down in 2011, the Brooks Development Authority has been busy finding developers to fill the 1,000-acre site with much-needed housing. Morgan Group has been one of the busier participants. They broke ground last year on the Caroline, and now they are starting work on Altitude at Brooks, a 12-building, 324-unit complex that is expected later this year. The San Antonio Business Journal says financing will include a number of options, including joint venture equity between Morgan and Bitterblue Investments.

The Brooks Development Authority has approved a number of projects over the past year, including office, build-to-rent, single-family and industrial construction.

Austin-based Davis Collaborative is the architect attached to the project. Morgan Group will use its in-house general contractor. Construction is expected to wrap up at the end of 2025, a year after Caroline at Brooks is slated to come online.
