Burlington Coat Takes Over Deerfield Bed Bath & Beyond Store

A Bed Bath & Beyond store located at 96 S. Waukegan Road in Deerfield, Illinois, will be converted into a Burlington Coat Factory store.

The move comes as part of a bankruptcy court auction of leases for the home furnishings retailer, according to the Chicago Business Journal. Gateway Fairview Inc. won a bid to take over the store’s lease. Burlington Coat Factory, a discount clothing retailer, was especially active in the auction, successfully bidding on 44 leases for an aggregate of $12 million.

A total of 353 Bed Bath & Beyond leases for stores ranging in size from 18,000 square feet to 92,000 square feet were auctioned, and 108 leases for Buy Buy Baby stores ranging from 14,000 square feet to 63,000 square feet, according to the website of A&G Real Estate Partners.
