Former City Official Melanie Rocca Joins BFC as COO
BFC Partners has appointed Melanie E. La Rocca as its chief operating officer. La Rocca will be responsible for guiding the workflow, strategy, and organization of essential business processes at the full-service development firm. She will be based in BFC’s Brooklyn office and work with principals Don Capoccia, Joseph Ferrara, Win Wharton, and Brandon Baron.
La Rocca brings a strong background in construction, operations, efficiency, development, and external affairs to the position. Prior to joining BFC, she served as the founding chief efficiency officer for the City of New York and previously held roles as commissioner of the NYC Department of Buildings and vice president of Development and External Affairs at the NYC School Construction Authority.
“With her strong background in construction, operations, efficiency, development, and externals affairs, we are confident that she is going to be a great addition to the BFC family,” said Don Capoccia, managing principal for BFC Partners.
