Stiwa Breaks Ground in Rock Hill on $36M Facility

Stiwa U.S. Inc. has broken ground on a 75,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 2657 Long Meadow Road in Rock Hill, NC outside of Charlotte. It is the first phase of a $36 million project, with production slated to begin in September 2024.

The subsidiary of Austria-based Stiwa Group will be relocating from its current Fort Mill location where it has been leasing 24,000 square feet at Stateline Logistics Center. The multinational high-performance automation company also has facilities in China and Germany. Stiwa purchased the 30-acre Rock Hill site off Porter Road along I-77 for $1.83 million earlier this year.

Business activities at the new facility will include automation machinery, parts machining, manufacturing software, sales support, and procurement and supply chain management.

At the groundbreaking ceremony held at the site on June 21, Stiwa noted the new facility will provide space for approximately 160 jobs.
