Skanska Co-Creates AGC Task Force on Construction Decarbonization
Skanska USA, in collaboration with other industry leaders, has formed the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Task Force on Decarbonization and Carbon Reporting to tackle carbon emissions in the construction sector. The task force aims to standardize carbon reporting by creating an industry guidebook and educational resources on decarbonization best practices.
This initiative is part of AGC’s broader climate change initiative to shape policies and reduce the environmental impact of the construction industry. Skanska USA, along with Clark, DPR, and Ryan Companies, is among the founding members of the task force, with additional members including Granite, Kiewit, Mortenson, and Turner joining.
Skanska is committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions throughout its value chain by 2045, with a 70% reduction in controlled emissions by 2030.
