300-unit project on way to New Braunfels.

Thriving New Braunfels Shows No Signs of Letting Up

New Braunfels is smack dab in between Austin and San Antonio, a 35 minute drive from both. And when it comes to housing, that point is not lost on Texan’s who want to avoid urban life, and don’t want a long commute.

Paravel Capital is preparing to start phase one of Lyndon Ranch, a New Braunfels multifamily development. Paravel plans starting work on a three-story apartment complex along Loop 337 before year end.

The San Antonio Business Journal reports the Austin developer has joined a long lineup of developers looking to capitalize on the areas explosive growth. Local real estate firm Casey Development is planning the mixed-use River Mill, which is expected to include 900 apartments. Coventry Homes is starting its third master-planned community in the area.

Paravel plans to construct a 267,000-square-foot garden-style apartment complex with 300 units. Phase two of the project calls for a 100-unit build-to-rent community.

Construction is scheduled to wrap up on the apartment project in December 2025.
