Mixed-Use Project Coming to NW Harris County

Richard Buxbaum, the head of White Unicorn Investments told the Houston Business Journal that he plans to build a mixed-use development on 77 acres just SE of the Tomball ISD football stadium. White Unicorn bought the land from Houston-based Parkside Capital in April.

The plan is to develop retail, including a large anchor tenant, and food service pads and sell some of the land for multifamily and industrial space. Vertical construction is expected to begin in the next 18 to 24 months after completing all infrastructure development.

The acquisition comes just more than three years after Buxbaum purchased about 55 acres from Parkside on the northeast side of the intersection for an H-E-B-anchored shopping center. Tenants secured for the shopping center, named Rose Hill Town Center, include Chick-Fil-A, Starbucks, Taco Bell and Whataburger, and a daycare center bought another 2 acres.

Buxbaum founded White Unicorn in 2015 and has since developed projects in Conroe, Telfair, Pasadena, The Woodlands and Cypress.
