Cousins Properties Building Office and Apartment Towers in South End Warehouse District

Cousins Properties is planning a 17-story office tower along with a 310-apartment building at 306 W. Tremont Ave. in Charlotte’s South End neighborhood. Cousins acquired the property, along with two additional warehouse sites, in late 2020. 

The office tower and residential building will be built over podium parking, with the decks connected by a pedestrian bridge. The spanse between the buildings will be a pedestrian thoroughfare called Tremont Alley, which will be faced by ground floor retail space. 

The additional cousins properties are located at 242 W. Tremont Ave. and 305 Doggett Street. Collectively, the three parcels which currently contain warehouses, sit on 2.4 acres.

Cousins is also planning a 200,000-square-foot office building at 205 E. Bland St., which is currently a paid public parking lot. The planned office tower will include retail space on the ground floor and onsite parking.

About Angela Noote

Angela Noote is a native of Northern California and graduated from Chico State with a degree in public relations. After college she moved to the Central Coast and worked first in ad sales then in editorial, eventually spending more than a decade as a print reporter and editor. She detoured into design work at a printer/publisher, and with a partner eventually opened a boutique full-service marketing agency. Moving into corporate communications, she built and managed several successful marketing teams in the hospitality, financial services, and nonprofit industries. Most recently she was an internal comms manager in the tech sector. After a long stint spent in Georgia (Go Dawgs), she moved to Baton Rouge, LA and has written for clients in the financial, luxury imports, higher ed, commercial cleaning, and medical equipment industries. Her son is a media arts major at the University of South Carolina, and her husband owns a comedy theater in Baton Rouge, where you can often find Angi teaching improv classes, leading corporate training events, or doing an occasional stand up set.
