Marquee Development Proceeding in Booming Georgetown
Georgetown had a 14.4-percent population increase from 2021 to 2022, bringing the city’s total population to more than 86,500 residents, making it the fastest growing town in the country. And one of the towns most awaited developments, Wolf Lakes Village in Georgetown, may be accelerating that growth.
A 121,000 square-foot H-E-B grocery store will open next week and the 60,000 square foot Ascension Seton medical offices will open this July. In addition, Hines is developing a 336-unit rental community in the town that could be open next year and Novak Brothers is turning a 12-acre site into what it is calling Rise510. It will have 301 luxury apartments, with completion expected in summer 2024. Single family-homes will follow.
Before it’s all over, the developer hopes to include an open-air amphitheater, a lake, a bell tower, a European plaza with high-end restaurant and retail users, and a boutique hotel. Developers say the project could ultimately contain about 5,000 residents.
