Post Brothers Acquires West End Office Building for $67M

Post Brothers, a real estate development firm, has acquired 2100 M Street, a West End office building in Washington, DC., for $66.77 million.

Post Brothers is set to undertake a complex construction project on the 300,000-square-foot building by either demolishing the current structure or converting it into approximately 300 residential units at an estimated cost of $300 million.

“We are thrilled about this exciting new opportunity to make an even bigger footprint in the Washington, D.C. market with this latest purchase,” said Mike Pestronk, Post Brothers CEO. “There is great potential for new residential in the D.C. market and we are looking forward to the creative conversion of this building into premier residential in the heart of one of Washington’s most sought-after neighborhoods.”

The new residential development will feature creative unit features and amenities. This acquisition expands Post Brothers’ presence in the market following their conversion of the Universal Buildings near Dupont Circle into multi-family units.
