Hospitality Group Goes All-In on Poker-Themed Houston Hotel

In Texas, most poker clubs are located in strip malls or stand-alone buildings. There aren’t any attached to hotels, which isn’t always convenient for those traveling to play cards. Well, there weren’t any, but now there is one in Houston. A redeveloped former Hampton Inn & Suites on Beltway 8 in Westchase promises to provide an upscale experience for overnight guests and poker players alike.

Knighted Ventures took over the run-down hotel and their total investment, including the acquisition, was about $12 million. The 71- room, 47,000-square-foot hotel has standard rooms, junior suites and an executive suite, ranging from $129 to $389 per night, as well as a full-service restaurant. Entering through the main entrance, a lounge with a bar and tables is to the left, and the 3,500-square-foot poker club with 19 game tables is to the right. It includes a VIP section, a private lounge and a table that is set up for poker livestreams and broadcasts. Champions Club will oversee the poker operation.
