Luxury Hotel Opens on Denver-Area Innovation Campus

A $70 million luxury hotel recently opened in Aurora’s Fitzsimons Innovation Community. The Denver Business Journal reports that The Benson Hotel and Faculty Center is hoping to be a “living room” of sorts for the medical campuses nearby and Fitzsimmons, which brings researchers together to innovate health solutions.

In addition to 106 boutique rooms, the hotel has a ballroom and event space, a 4,000-square-foot outdoor event lawn, a bar and restaurant. As its name suggests, it’s an exclusive faculty club that offers staff at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus private access to a gathering space and events.

Fitzsimons is an integrated urban campus where health and life sciences companies work to discover new ideas, and it bills itself as the only organization in the Rocky Mountain West that offers specialized space — such as research laboratories — for such companies.
