Tesla Leases Space for First Plant in Pacific Northwest
Tesla Inc. has leased one of the first buildings to be delivered in the 5.1-million-square-foot Cascade Industrial Center in Marysville and Arlington, WA, reported the Puget Sound Business Journal. It will be the first Tesla plant in the Pacific Northwest.
NorthPoint Development’s Cascade Business Park, representing 4.2 million square feet of the Cascade Industrial Center, also represents the first project in the region for the Kansas City-based developer. Tesla will occupy 245,000 square feet at Cascade Business Park and will use the building as a parts and assembly plant.
Matt Wood and Hans Vieser of KBC Advisors, and Matthew P. Henn and Matt Hage of Kidder Mathews, are the brokers representing the development.
The Cascade Industrial Center, still in the early stages of development, is a joint industrial hub in Marysville and Arlington. It is expected to create 11,600 jobs by 2040, the Business Journal reported.
