500-room Omni PGA Frisco opens just a few weeks ahead of big event

$520M Frisco Resort Opens in Time for Big Event

It came down to the wire, but the highly touted Omni PGA Frisco Resort opened today, just a few weeks before the first tee time for the Senior PGA Championship, to be played at its championship golf course starting May 24th. The hotel, which cost $520 million and the three golf courses are the centerpiece of a much larger campus. It also includes 13 food and beverage destinations, retail outlets and an array of golf experiences. The entire project is situated on 660 acres. Some are calling it the largest golf resort in the world.

The Omni PGA Frisco Resort will feature 500 guest rooms and suites, 10 golf villas, three pools and an adults-only rooftop. The property also serves as the new headquarters for the PGA of America, which previously had been located in South Florida.
