500 Apartments okayed in Round Rock

Round Rock Okays 500 New Multifamily Units

More than 500 multifamily homes have been approved for construction in a largely undeveloped section of Round Rock. At a recent meeting, the city council approved the annexation and zoning of 37.43 acres of property near CR 122 for a mixed-use development that will feature apartments and duplexes. Called Settlers Park Junction, the project will have up to 325 apartments and 176 duplexes. Blackburn Communities is believed to be the developer.

The Round Rock City Council approved a flurry of apartment project near the end of last year and expects even more to be built in 2023. Housing developments that went before council for zoning requests brought a total of 2,422 housing units that were approved in 2022 spread out across three separate developments. 3,529 are slated to be built in 2023.
