Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems Group Moving to Albuquerque Tech Hub
Northrop Grumman is expanding its New Mexico operations by moving its space systems and cybersecurity operations workers into a new location – a technology hub being built at Kirtland Air Force Base. About 100 employees will move from its current offices near the Albuquerque International Sunport into Max Q, the name for the tech hub.
The facility spans 70 acres and has up to one million square feet of office, commercial, retail and lodging in the plans. Northrup Grumman, who will become the anchor tenant, said the facility will support national security space business operations, space system mission management and cybersecurity missions.
Albuquerque-based Dekker Perich Sabatini was the architect behind the building, Wilger Enterprises handled general construction and Bohannon Huston did the civil engineering.
