GI Partners Acquires Ashburn Data Center for $150M

GI Partners, an investment firm based in San Francisco, acquired a 139,000-square-foot data center in Ashburn for $150 million from Nova DC Fee Owner LP, according to Washington Business Journal. Located at 43915 Devin Shafron Drive, Ashburn, Virginia, the single-story facility was built in 2010. Journal also reported that the seller shares its principal office address with Starwood Capital Group, a private global investment firm, whose CFO and managing director serve as the general partner.

GI Partners has invested nearly $1 billion in data center sites in Northern Virginia over the last ten years. In August 2022, the investment firm acquired an 860,000-square-foot portfolio of office buildings from Turnbridge Equities for $220 million, all of which are leased by major defense contractors.
