336-unit $30M Legacy Gateway apartments going up in Forney

2,000 Acre Forney Master-Planned Community Site for New 336-Unit Rental Community

Legacy Partners and joint venture partner The Resmark Companies have broken ground on Legacy Gateway, a new $30 million, 336-residence apartment community coming to Forney, TX.

The 14-acre site for Legacy Gateway is located within Gateway, a 2,000-acre master-planned, mixed-use development. Forney is 25 minutes east of Downtown Dallas in Kaufman County.

Anticipated for completion in spring 2025, the 282,000 square foot community will consist of five three-story buildings. JHP Architecture is the architect while BBL Building Company is the general contractor. Legacy and Resmark closed on the undeveloped site with a construction loan from InterBank.

The development’s mix runs from 336 square foot studio apartments to 1,400 square foot two bedroom units.

The community will offer a pool with cabanas; expansive outdoor kitchen and lounge; gaming courtyard with lawn games and pickleball court; club room with resident lounge and kitchen and a fitness studio. The pet-friendly community will also have large and small dog parks.
