Multifamily Development Veterans Launch New Firm with Focus on Southeast, Sun Belt

Led by real estate veterans Greg Power and Mike Handza, Atlanta-based Imperium Development has launched as a multifamily development firm focused on creating premium, sustainable housing in high barrier-to-entry, supply-constrained markets across the Southeast and Sunbelt. Power and Handza have worked together for more than a decade at one of the Southeast’s leading multifamily investment firms.

Before founding Imperium, Power and Handza held senior roles working closely with Ron Terwilliger, one of the rental housing industry’s most prominent and influential figures.  “We have learned from the best what it takes to establish trust among partners, investors, tenants and communities, and are committed to doing everything we can to produce favorable outcomes and strong risk-adjusted returns,” said Handza.

Imperium already has two Class A multifamily communities under development in Georgia: the 240-unit Walker’s Ridge Apartments in Cartersville and the 300-unit South Davis Apartments in LaGrange, with delivery slated for 2024.
