Gensler Redesigns Seattle Office with Workshop Flair
Architectural firm Gensler has redesigned its entire 15,000-square-foot office at the Park Place Building in Seattle, and the result is a workshop-type ambience that gives off a “fun place to work” vibe that many modern offices are turning to.
“Our new office concept centers around the idea of a Workshop – a non-precious, scrappy space to experiment, tinker, share ideas and evolve,” said Kristin Jensen, Managing Director of Gensler Seattle. “It’s a center of activity to collaborate and shape the culture while fulfilling the critical human need of socializing.”
The renovation offered an opportunity to experiment with workplace design for a variety of work styles. Social areas double as work points and conference rooms flex in functionality, enabling teams to transform their surroundings at will.
“This approach delivered a bright and airy office and collaboration space that also conveys to clients the potential of a thoughtfully designed space that can evolve over time,” added Gensler Managing Director Ryan Haines.
