Alaska Airlines Expands Lease at Renton Campus
Real estate investment and operating company Unico Properties has secured a 20-year renewal and expansion of Alaska Airlines’ lease at its Longacres Campus in the Seattle submarket of Renton, WA. Located in the Class A North Building of the complex, Alaska Airlines has increased its space from 38,000 to 107,000 square feet.
“While much of the Puget Sound Region’s leasing activity has slowed, Renton has been a bright spot which was further cemented by Alaska Airlines’ renewal and expansion. We’re honored to support Alaska’s future growth and development,” said Unico Properties Director Liz Thorson.
Alaska will use the increased space to expand its simulator training, dedicating 66,000 square feet to flight simulation equipment and 41,000 square feet to office space. “We are thrilled to have this opportunity to work with Unico to extend our current lease and expand our simulator training spaces,” said Alaska’s Teri Sato. The airline was represented by JLL’s Kris Richey Curtis in the lease transaction.
