Northmarq Promotes Kevin McCarthy to Managing Director in Chicago

Northmarq’s Chicago debt and equity team has promoted Kevin McCarthy to managing director. McCarthy will co-manage the office’s growth, facilitate debt and equity placements, and manage lender and client relationships for the office along with managing directors Sue Blumberg and Brett Hood. McCarthy brings 15 years’ experience in the commercial real estate industry working with both owners and capital providers. 

“Kevin has surpassed his goals each year and has truly earned the managing director position after demonstrating his leadership abilities throughout the company,” said Blumberg.. “He is a huge asset in our office and is very well respected within the industry and by his peers.” 

Since joining Northmarq in 2014, McCarthy has closed more than 150 deals with more than $2 billion in transaction volume. He has worked extensively across all major property types and is primarily focused on multifamily, industrial, and mixed-use debt and equity placement throughout the Midwest.
