Piedmont Office Realty Trust, The Institute for Justice Sign 34% Lease Expansion at Arlington Gateway
Building owner Piedmont Office Realty Trust and The Institute for Justice have agreed on a new lease for 33.5% more space for the latter at Arlington Gateway, a Class A office tower located 901 N. Glebe Road in Arlington, VA.
Mindy Saffer and Sam Heiber of commercial real estate advisory firm Cresa negotiated on behalf of The Institute for Justice, a public interest law firm, which has committed to 58,285 square feet and will now occupy the eighth and ninth floors. The Cresa team secured building signage as well as a concessions package that covers all renovation costs of the space.
The 30-story Arlington Gateway was completed in 2005 and is situated near Ballston Metro and the Ballston Quarter Mall. Atlanta, GA-based Piedmont Office Realty Trust is in the process of modernizing the property and is renovating the building’s amenities while also adding a state-of-the-art conference facility and cardio room.
