Vacaville Approves Transwestern BioTech Campus on I-80 Corridor
The City of Vacaville’s Planning Commission has unanimously approved plans for Axiom Point, a 375,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art biomanufacturing campus in Solano County, CA. Developed by a partnership between Transwestern Ventures and Transwestern Real Estate Services, the campus will be located on 22+ acres in the Vaca Valley Business Park at the I-80/I-505 interchange.
Axiom Point will be delivered in two phases and is designed for maximum flexibility. It will be an ideal facility for biomanufacturing, laboratory R&D, medical device manufacturing, food science, agriculture technology and healthcare.
“Vacaville has the land, infrastructure and workforce that the biotechnology industry needs to grow,” said Vacaville Mayor Ron Rowlett in a news release. “We are building on our proven success with the industry to secure Vacaville’s continued leadership as a biomanufacturing center going forward, and are fortunate that Transwestern sees the potential and value of investing in Vacaville.”
Vaca Valley Business Park is home to life sciences companies such as Genentech, Johnson & Johnson and RxDNova. The project team includes design firm DGA and general contractor DPR Construction.
