Levi Strauss Renews Major San Francisco Lease
The city of San Francisco got some welcome office news as a significant anchor tenant has re-upped in the downtown area. Levi Strauss has just renewed a 367,000-square-foot lease at 1155 Battery Street, known as the Levi’s Plaza, according to the San Francisco Business Times.
The renewal, reported to be for 12 years, is a huge win for The City’s commercial real estate office sector, which has been struggling badly during the COVID-19 outbreak. The lease is the second largest in San Francisco since the pandemic began, following Wells Fargo 500,000-square-foot renewal in June.
The renewal follows more than a year of negotiations with Jamestown L.P., the building’s landlord. “Levi’s has anchored the property since its inception and helped drive its evolution. We look forward to continuing our partnership with Levi’s and to shaping the property’s next chapter as a net zero carbon campus with diverse neighborhood amenities,” said Jamestown president Michael Phillips.
