Fort Worth’s Alliance Airport Expands Terminals, Hangars
Fort Worth’s Alliance Airport—the world’s first industrial airport designed for cargo and corporate aviation traffic—will soon unveil a new terminal with over 20,000 square feet of “highly amenitized lounges” and meeting facilities and 68,000 square feet of attached hangar space.
With its launch, the airport will have six hangars totaling around 200,000 square feet. It will expand the airport’s current full-service offerings with additional accommodations for flight crews, as well as more flexible, spacious lounges for pilots and passengers.
Hillwood, the city of Fort Worth, and the Federal Aviation Administration collaborated on the creation of the airport. Hillwoods Christian Childs has more on the improvements, “Pilots and passengers will soon have access to expanded amenities and the highest level of customer service they’ve become accustomed to over the years.”
Alliance Airport moved more than 2.4 billion pounds of cargo in 2021, a 45.75% increase over 2020. It opened for business in 1989.
