MDC Breaks Ground on Phase II at Brown Field Tech Park

Murphy Development Company (MDC) has started construction on Phase II at Brown Field Technology Park, a pair of spec buildings at the 52-acre industrial complex in the Otay Mesa area of San Diego. Completion is scheduled for the third quarter of 2023 and JLL will handle the leasing.

The two buildings, each about 100,000 square feet, will feature 32’ clear heights, 4,000 amps of power, ESFR sprinklers, concrete truck courts and high dock doors. “Brown Field Technology Park offers potential tenants state-of-the-art design, large setbacks, impeccable corporate image and landscaping, coupled with San Diego’s lowest occupancy costs,” said MDC’s Kaitlin Arduino.

“Demand for industrial space continues to remain strong in San Diego with South County seeing increased activity with its newer functional buildings and proximity to the border,” said JLL’s Andy Irwin, who will oversee the leasing, along with the firm’s Joe Anderson and Greg Lewis.
