Greystar Announces New Housing Project in Slabtown

Rental housing development, investment and management firm Greystar has unveiled a new multifamily project in the Slabtown neighborhood of Portland, OR. Working closely with Portland’s Design Commission and the neighborhood, Greystar ensured the 364-unit buildings will meet the needs of the city and its residents.

The development, designed by SERA architects, includes a five-story, 151-unit building and a mixed six- and seven-story 213-unit building with brick exteriors. The project, located between Northwest 19th and 20th Avenues is set to break ground later this month.

“Greystar is proud to celebrate our upcoming groundbreaking in Slabtown, Greystar’s first self-perform construction project in Portland,” said the firm’s Doug Burges. “We wanted to honor Portland’s great neighborhoods and worked closely with the city to better the design and provide a multifamily project that accommodates the needs of the residents.”

ING Capital, LLC will provide the construction financing for the development saying Greystar’s vision for the project was very compelling.
