Peninsula Life Sciences Portfolio Garners $213M in Financing

JLL Capital Markets has arranged $213.4 million in acquisition financing for a five-building life sciences portfolio in South San Francisco and San Carlos, CA. The firm worked on behalf of GI Partners to secure the seven-year, fixed-rate loan through a life insurance company.

The portfolio, all situated along Highway 101 in San Mateo County, consists of one building at 7000 Shoreline Ct. (pictured) and two buildings at 341-343 Oyster Point Blvd. in South San Francisco as well as two buildings at 75 and 125 Shoreway Rd. In San Carlos.

Built or renovated in the early 2000’s, the buildings offer Class-A buildouts with an emphasis on quality and flexibility. The 100% leased facilities are fully operational for research, manufacturing and biotechnology uses, offering lab space for both emerging and established tenants.

The JLL Debt Advisory team representing the borrower includes Kevin MacKenzie, Brian Torp, Alex Witt and Samuel Godfrey.
