Affirmed Housing Opens Affordable Development in Carlsbad
Affordable housing provider Affirmed Housing has celebrated the debut of Windsor Pointe, a sustainable and inclusive supportive housing development in Carlsbad, CA. At a grand opening celebration that included Carlsbad Mayor Matt Hall, the firm touted Windsor Pointe’s services to help vulnerable, unsheltered and at-risk veterans and individuals experiencing severe mental illness, live more stable lives.
“Windsor Pointe exemplifies the City of Carlsbad and County of San Diego’s commitment to helping all of its citizens live their best lives. Supportive projects like this not only reduce homelessness, but lessen use of costly public services, which allows those funds to be applied elsewhere,” said Affirmed Housing President Jimmy Silverwood.
The community is situated on two sites and is comprised of two three-story buildings providing a total of 50 affordable residences, targeted toward veterans and their families. The units will vary in size from studio to three-bedroom apartments, and residents will have access to several supportive services.
