FCP, Crosland Southeast Move Dirt on $17M, 158-Acre Development Site in Indian Land

Chevy Chase, MD-based FCP and Charlotte, NC-based Crosland Southeast have acquired a 158-acre mixed-use development site in the Charlotte submarket of Indian Land, SC for $17 million.

The partners have already started on The Exchange at Indian Land, a three- and four-story residential community with 400 apartment units and 35,000 square feet of retail space. A new shopping center, including a Lowes Foods grocer and 20,000 square feet of retail space, will be part of the master-planned development, as will over 300 townhomes constructed by Taylor Morrison.

The Exchange at Indian Land apartments, located at Charlotte Highway and Possum Hollow Road, will offer direct access to major employers such as Red Ventures, Continental Tire, Movement Mortgage and the future MUSC Hospital. The site lies just south of the Ballantyne area, home to more than 40,000 jobs.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
