CapRock Adds Two Industry Veterans in Newport Beach

Industrial real estate developer and private equity firm CapRock Partners has hired Mike Kent and Sean Grubbs as the firm strengthens its leadership team. Based in Newport Beach, CA, Kent will serve as senior vice president of asset management and Grubbs as vice president of capital markets. 

“CapRock Partners is proud to welcome Mike and Sean to our team of exceptional real estate professionals,” said the firm’s president Jon Pharris. “CapRock continues to grow, and we remain committed to investing in and strengthening our team with industry leaders who share in our collective values and investor-first mindset.”

Kent is responsible for leading the firm’s asset management initiatives and overseeing its established portfolio of industrial real estate. He brings nearly 40 years of experience to CapRock. 

Grubbs oversees CapRock’s capital markets division, leading the firm’s debt efforts. He spent eight years with Bank of America where he originated over $2.5 billion in new loans.

Mark comes to ConnectCRE with an extensive background as a business and news reporter in San Francisco radio, as well as 35 years as a traffic reporter on several stations including KGO, KNBR, KCBS and KFRC. As a business reporter, Mark covered the tech world in Silicon Valley where he became familiar with real estate transactions in the hot Bay Area marketplace. He attended San Jose State University with a BA in Radio and TV Broadcasting and currently resides in the Lake Tahoe area where he gets to frequently enjoy all of his favorite activities: Golfing, Fishing, Hiking and Skiing.
