Legacy Partners Celebrates Development of Maui Affordable Project

Bay Area-based Legacy Partners and the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust are celebrating the development of Kaulana Mahina Apartments, a 324-unit affordable housing community in Central Maui. The project is expected to deliver needed workforce housing by late summer 2023.

“This is the first major new workforce housing project on Maui in decades,” said Legacy Partners’ Kerry Nicholson. “Along with AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust, we are proud to be part of the solution to solving Maui’s chronic housing crisis.”

Kaulana Mahina will be comprised of one- to three-bedroom units and feature several community amenities including a gym, pool, yoga room, resident lounge and dog park.

“This community is a welcome addition to Maui’s range of housing options for our hardworking residents,” said Maui County Mayor Michael Victorino. “It’s a top-notch development, located close to jobs, schools and medical services, built by, and for, the people of Hawaii.”
