Russian School of Mathematics Leases Second Upper East Side Location

The Russian School of Mathematics (RSM) continued its expansion with its second Upper East Side location. Using Russian teaching methods, the after-school program provides mathematics education to students attending K-12 public and private schools.  

RSM inked a five-year deal for 5,135 square feet on the entire second floor of 1745 First Ave., according to the tenant’s broker, Endurance Real Estate Advisors. The building is owned by Bohemian Brethren Presbyterian Church, which purchased the building in 2019 and occupies the remainder. 

In October 1999, RSM established its first dedicated space. Since then, RSM has opened more than 70 locations in the U.S. and Canada while also offering online programs The program currently has approximately 60,000 students. 

RSM was represented by Sergio Turaev and Gregory Gang of Endurance Real Estate Advisors. The church was represented by Michael Cody and Max Kreinces of Retail by MONA.
